| ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Basic Information~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Name: Ciro Lash (pronounced See-row...Like zero but instead of pronouncing it with a "Z" it's an "S") Alias: Broken Death *explained in history* Alliance: Drifter Gender: Male Age: 18 Sexual Orientation: Gay Blood Type(Optional): -- Family Members(Optional): -- Birth Date(Optional): -- Star Sign(Optional): -- Extra Information: Ciro has lived a rather rough life and does suffer from severe depression (clinically diagnosed), but he never allows it to show. Because he has locked it away for so long it has done nothing but build. Upon entering Psyren, the Psi energy his mind and body began to produce gave these feelings of worthlessness, death, and sadness a form. This form calls himself Cide...short for Suicide. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Appearance~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Appearance: Cide is on the left. Ciro is on the right. The main difference is eye color (Cide's eyes are a very bright blue) and hair style (Cide's hair is curly). Aside from that, they are mirror images of each other. Height(optional):Weight(optional): Body Type: Athletic. Lean but with muscles. Extra Feature: A two tattoos. One on his chest, over his left nipple, of a shadowy mist (yeah it hurt to get it done...), and one across his shoulders on his back of angel wings. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Persona~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Personality:Ciro: Ciro is quiet, reserved, cold, and deadly. He has no quarrels with killing opposition nor does he mind killing without mercy. However, this stems from a lack of satisfaction with his own life. He's not happy. He cannot remember the last time he enjoyed a laugh or felt worthwhile. He has rarely felt any pure joy. One of the times he has, however, was when he first went to Psyren. Only in Psyren does one see a happy face. Inside Psyren he is completely different, carefree, happy, laughing. Outside he is as described above. Cide: Cide is different, very different. Despite being the manifestation of depression, he is actually quite a happy boy. If ever he is to come out, he will always act as if what he is doing is a game rather than a fight for life and death. He giggles a lot, but don't mistake him for anything less than dead serious. Cide's very sadistic and shows that through various means. Be it through the slow beating of a foe, or his obvious enjoyment of a kill. Likes: Both: Killing, fighting. Ciro: Coming close to death. Cide: Living Dislikes: Both: When their kill gets away, when their kill is stolen, when they can't defeat their enemy, when they cannot fight. Ciro: Living Cide: Coming close to death. Goals: Both: To find purpose... Fears: Dying before a purpose is found. Extra Information: -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~History~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~History:Ciro Arc: - Spoiler:
Ciro was born in New York City. He couldn't go many places, have friends, or even money for that matter. His raging alcoholic of a step-father did nothing but abuse the welfare system, and his mom was constantly sick. His real father died quite shortly after his birth. He died while he was only six months old, he was a victim of a bank robbery. It didn't take his mother, whom was having an affair anyway, to move on. Unfortunately the man she re-married to had self-esteem issues and poisoned his mother enough to keep her sick, but not enough to kill her. Ciro didn't find this out until later on in life.
His "family" barely had the money to send him to school, but his mother refused to allow her son to not attend school. His step-father refused to allow "the boy", as he called him, to not get a job and grow up to be a real man. So he had a paper route, went to school, and then cleaned up at his step-father's barbershop. He was over worked, underfed, and nobody took notice. At school he was tormented by the other kids because he was always alone. The teachers thought he was just lazy, and students never gave him a chance at all. He was constantly alone. But he could never express it. If he cried at school, the "tougher" kids beat him up. If he cried at him, his step-father threw things at him.
When Ciro entered High School, he had a rep for always being alone. He made his first friend ever in Sophomore year. The boy was always nice to him, sat with him at lunch, helped him with homework, and even sometimes came over Ciro's house early to accompany him on his paper route. Ciro trusted him as time went on, but he never allowed him to come over when his step-dad was over. Ciro knew he wouldn't ever approve of this kind of "friend"
Life felt that the step-father should know though. One morning, one very cliche morning, Ciro and his lover were on their paper route and Ciro's step-father came up in his car as the two boys shared a kiss. Ciro was nearly beaten to death, and his love vanished from his life. Where he is, Ciro never found out.
Psyren Arc: - Spoiler:
Ciro was in the hospital for three weeks before he recovered from his injuries. And even then he wasn't totally alright. Just alright enough to leave and do things on his own. He was home one night, he actually got a night off it was his first one since he began working, and reading a story to his mother. He heard a knock at the door and ran to go answer it. There was nobody there though. Just a red calling card. Ciro didn't know what it was or who it was from so he left it there. He returned to his mother and when his step-father came home, Ciro asked about the calling card. His father told him to stop whatever drug he was on and never not go to work again. Ciro told him that he said he could have the day off, and the older male hit him hard across the face. He went back to the hospital because he fractured his jaw.
Ciro healed up nicely, and Ciro remained quiet once more. He went back to never speaking his mind, bottling up all his emotions. Three months later he noticed a red calling card on his bed. His mother was always in bed, and his step-father was out of town. So he couldn't imagine how it had gotten there. He took hold of it and looked it over. He tossed it out the window after deeming it odd and thought it was probably best to not mess with it.
The card never showed up again until Ciro was 17. To be exact, the day of his 17th birthday. It was wrapped up. There was no note, no sign of who left it there, it was as if it just appeared. Ciro was sick of this card appearing and so he finally used it.
Cide Arc: - Spoiler:
With the first few trips to Psyren, Ciro was quite confused. He didn't understand anything. He had many near death experiences. After a while, and the discovery of his abilities, he got used to it and began to do what he could. He discovered the Resistance but he has yet to officially side with them. Through the many visits to Psyren, he has discovered a few things. 1) He loves it there. He feels more important. He feels useful as he helps those who are new to Psyren. 2) His powers are stronger there than in the "real world" 3) Wise = bad guys.
Upon his fifth trip there he had his first close call. A Tavoo nearly stabbed him, but he saw things slow down. A voice rang in his head, and the next thing he knew he was a prisoner in his own mind. He could see, he could hear, but he could not interact or speak. He heard a voice that sounded like him but it held a mocking tone to it. It was a tone that was certainly more sadistic as well. In the blink of an eye the Tavoo was dead and he was back in his body with full control. This was the birth of the being known as Cide.
He has done some work for the Resistance without officially being one of them. When they learned of Cide, and Ciro and Cide's willingness to kill, they gave him the nickname "Broken Death" Broken because of his split persona, and Death because of his apathy (or joy depending on who is in control) to death.
