I think I see where you're going with this but I'm not sure...
How would this be different from clicking the group names just above the C-box?

it would be easier, especially for new users who want to join one of the groups with less members.

Honestly, I don't know about my own suggetion. I just saw things I described in some Bleach RP website. Forgot the name though. I thought it would be great to know how much characters are in each alliance.
